My name is Gia Almeida. I was born and raised in Brazil. I moved to the New York City in my early 20’s. I always had a love for photography and living in New York really gave me the opportunity to achieve my dreams. I have been shooting professionally since 2011. I started my photography business in New York City where i shot weddings, portraits, events, and some commercial work but weddings are my passion!
I am based in Alton, Illinois. Serving St Louis, Mo. I would be honored to photograph your wedding anywhere in the world!

My approach to wedding photography is documentary and artistic. I like to capture your wedding day as it unfolds, without being intrusive or posing you too much. I want you to feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera, and to enjoy every moment with your partner and guests. I also like to create some artistic portraits of you and your partner, using the natural surroundings and light as my canvas. I’ll guide you through some simple poses and movements, while keeping the mood fun and romantic.
My goal is to provide you with images that reflect your unique love story, your personality, and your vision for your wedding day. I want you to look at your photos and feel the same emotions you felt on your wedding day, and to cherish them for a lifetime.
